Goals for 2020

So after thinking through this for a while, I've decided to bring this back into my life.  I love to write, I love to express myself and share recipes.  SO...this blog may not always look pretty...it might get messy, because that's life, and I'm too old to pretend it's not.  

 Goals for 2020:

 To continue to search for what feeds my soul and not harms it.

 I'm going to keep up with my health goals and make it another year of weight maintenance.  Walking starts again.  Not about needing to lose, I like everything a bit tighter.  So there you go.  I'm not athletic, I do not LIKE working out.  But I do like walking because of the moment to take a breath and enjoy being outside and listening to good music

 I wanted to commit to living my truth...if I say be kind...that means I have to drop some guards and also do just that.  There's been a couple relationships over the years that I wanted to circle back to this year.  Both have been seen and the tiniest of steps taken, I'm good with that.  We'll see what grows or if that was just a nice resolution to mess.  

 And letting go....understanding that I might no ever understand.  Accepting that I am who I am, I love big and hard....I'm not willing to change that.  I like that about me.  But there boundaries in my heart now.  I'm worth more that what I received the past few years.

 Bring it on 2020....I'm SO ready 💓

a bit of a rant....

Facebook....I have a love / hate relationship with Facebook.  Some days I find all the status updates.....fun....some days silly.....some days though I could pick every single one apart with how annoying some people are...LOL! 1st....I don't need your dirty jokes or dirty language.  I don't get doing that either?!  Yes I admit my mouth is not always perfect but I'm not showing that to the world.  I have come to a conclusion in my older age....cussing can make you look so stupid.  Just an observation / opinion...LOL! 2nd....photography is apparently the new "thing"....everyone is doing it, everyone seems to think they're good enough to try and start a business.  I will say there are a handful that ever single time I look at their pictures....I think "yeah, they got it, that's nice!" but trust me when I say the others that got a nice fancy camera don't.  Fancy camera's do no make photographers.  Is that tacky or honest?  (this is not a ...

Needing your help!

We have started a tradition with the kids of going to the State Fair every year. Just like when I was growing up - we'll go every year. I LOVE the fair. We also as a group will try all the "new" foods introduced that year...you only get a bite or two but it's SO worth it and not all the calories ;) About 2 years ago I started submitted photography into the Creative Arts division. MOM actually got Honorable Mention last year....how cool is that?! Michael and I each submit 2 pictures (only allowed 2 per person) and we have 1 each picked but we need help with our 2nd submissions. So first...here's the definite entries: This will be my 1st entry...this goes in under Adult Special for photos that have been altered. This will be Michael's 1st entry....this falls under State Fair / State Fair Theme SO...we each get 1 more entry...this is where you come in. Please let me know what your 2 favorite ones are. IF YOU DON'T HAVE A BLOG - that's ok - you can respon...
