The BIG Update :)

I'm a very VOCAL person....I'm a very VISUAL person....I'm a very WEAR MY HEART ON MY SLEEVE type a' gal....I've not been allowed to be ANY of those things in the last month and it has driven me CRAZY!

Now the Lord....the Lord is I'm sure smiling down on me because through all this quietness and patience....I've really fallen into Him.  All things are for His will and His good :)

Everyone has been so amazing and thoughtful and an army of prayer WARRIORS!  We are SO extremely blessed by the amount of love and friendship behind us.  Totally humbling and absolutely amazing.  SO...I do want to throw a very LARGE thank you out there for that.

Everyone has been asking and waiting for the story and the pictures and the details.  I've been DYING to tell...HA...but my sweet husband asked some things of me first.

Buying and selling a home has A LOT of details!  1st you make the offer...and you wait.  Then you have the counters and so forth....and you wait.  Then you get it...YAY....but....you still have to wait.  Inspections and contracts and contingencies....and you guessed it...more waiting.  THEN you decide to put your house on the market....you live in a "show house" for a while....you have strangers walking through your home all day....you get an offer....and you wait.  You have option periods and amendments, contract negotiations and you guessed it again...more waiting.

Michael asked me to wait on shouting my "WAHOO'S" until we had lined all our ducks up, all things were signed, all option periods were over and all contracts in place.  We made it...we did it!  WAAAAAHHHOOOO!!!!!!

So as I'm sure you guessed...our house in under contract.  WAHOO!!!  AMAZING stuff y'all....the hand of the God has been ALL OVER this.  We are SO blessed and so in awe of his love and protection over us.   We are buying a beautiful home in Wylie and have been blessed with really amazing sellers.  Not many people talk during the whole buying / selling process...but I've been lucky to do that.  We had a great conversation and been able to Facebook back and forth with questions.  It's been so great and at times...so comforting :)

We have been extremely blessed in having such an AMAZING realtor.  JT Oden has put up with all my questions, my anxiety, my frustrations, etc.  He 100% knows his stuff!  He's been knowledgeable, he's been reliable, he's been honest and always helpful....and he's also someone our family calls a friend.  I'd refer him to anyone any day of the week!  AND...he'll be our realtor for life.

I prayed at the beginning of this journey that the Lord lead this.  He had to...all the way around.  Everything had to go through Him...all decisions needed to be made with Him.  In return....we have been blessed beyond measure.  I'm in awe.....

So....I guess....I'll post some pictures :P

Once upon a time....Princess Raina asked her Daddy for a castle....

So her Daddy took her to see this castle.  She walked into a room with clouds for a ceiling and pink paint on the walls and declared...that was HER room...it was a room for a Princess living in a castle!
Raina's room :)
She declared that her new house HAD to have stairs...beautiful ones that she could run up and down all day long....
Staircase :)
She told her Daddy that castles had LOTS of windows and so....as luck would have it...this castle did!  Lots of beautiful windows :)
Formal dining
She then told her Daddy that it had to have a BIG kitchen because Mommy liked to cook and Mommy liked to have family and friends over to cook for....and so we went into the kitchen....and Princess Raina was VERY pleased :)
(Mommy was TOO!)
She then asked for a place to play...but she wanted to be able to see and hear everyone.  She went upstairs and found just that....the game room is an "open" game room allowing you to see over into formal sitting and family room....
PERFECT!

Finally she asked her Daddy for a BIG backyard that would have enough space for her trampoline so she could continue to practice her tumbling....and he found just that!
Back of house :)

There are more pictures of course....y'all know me....but I thought this was a good intro :)  We are so excited.  We will be closing on both houses on the same day in March.  VERY exciting stuff!!  I get to start packing and planning.  BEYOND BLESSED :)

Thank you everyone who has been loving us through this....we have seriously felt every single prayer!

The end ;)

Goals for 2020

So after thinking through this for a while, I've decided to bring this back into my life.  I love to write, I love to express myself and share recipes.  SO...this blog may not always look pretty...it might get messy, because that's life, and I'm too old to pretend it's not.   Goals for 2020: To continue to search for what feeds my soul and not harms it. I'm going to keep up with my health goals and make it another year of weight maintenance.  Walking starts again.  Not about needing to lose, I like everything a bit tighter.  So there you go.  I'm not athletic, I do not LIKE working out.  But I do like walking because of the moment to take a breath and enjoy being outside and listening to good music 💓 I wanted to commit to living my truth...if I say be kind...that means I have to drop some guards and also do just that.  There's been a couple relationships over the years that I wanted to circle back to this year.  Both hav...

Award Winning Salsa

Well…it won an award in my family 🤣 This blog has seen MANY salsa recipes. I LOVE salsa. I’m always trying to perfect my recipe so I tried some different things yesterday and BAM….I mean wowza BAM!!!! Jayme’s Award Winning 😉 Salsa 2lbs Tomatillo, husked and washed and halved 2 Jalapeño, washed, halved, seeded if you’re a wuss.  1 Serrano, washed, remove stem 1 red onion, quartered 1 Lg Tomato 1 Bunch Cilantro 2 Tbs minced garlic  Salt  On a large baking sheet lay out your tomatillos, peppers and onion. Cover the bottom of the pan Chicken stock or water. I also drizzled a little olive oil.  Put in a 350 oven for 75-90 minutes.  Let cool down a bit and throw everything in a food processor.  Holy. Moly. Very restaurant like. Maybe a Cantina Laredo or Haciendas Ranch feel to it. So. Good.  I like it warm so when I go to get it out of the fridge, I just throw in the microwave for a sec.  SO good!

Perpetual diets and a soul change....

I feel like all my life, I've been on a perpetual diet.  Seriously.  Pretty much every day of my life has been a choice.  Some days/months/years I do great.  Others....not so much. I've never been one of those girls.  You know...the ones that always just pulled it off.  Looks, weight, clothes.  Nope.  That is not me.  I've also always had skinny friends.  They ate the same things as me...but I'd notice on me and never on them.  I think I've always aspired in some way to be each of them.  Hell, maybe they keep me in check so I don't ever let myself go to much?  That's some deep thinking stuff! What a funny life.  Then, I had my jaw surgery.  Long recovery.  Long, hard, painful recovery.  I think I just gave myself a pass for the last couple of years.  Because I can tell you...I hadn't been too worried about my weight since then. So.  I had a picture taken of me on August 17th.  As ...
